Why am I getting pimples?

  Acne, commonly known as pimples, is a common skin condition that affects many people of all ages. Pimples can appear on the face, chest, and back, and can range from small, red bumps to large, painful cysts. While it is often associated with adolescence, acne can affect people of all ages, and can have a significant impact on an individual's self-esteem and quality of life. The causes of acne are complex and multi-factorial, but it is primarily caused by an overproduction of oil in the skin. The oil, also known as sebum, is produced by the sebaceous glands and helps to lubricate and protect the skin. However, when the sebaceous glands produce too much oil, it can become trapped in the pores of the skin, leading to the formation of pimples. Hormones also play a significant role in the development of acne. During puberty, the body produces an increase in androgens, which are hormones that stimulate the sebaceous glands.
